Tuy nhiên, có những trường hợp cần dạng câu hỏi yêu cầu vùng được chọn là hình chữ nhật hay tổng quát hơn là một đa giác hoặc chuỗi nhiều thao tác trên hình ảnh. Chúng tôi đặt vấn đề phát triển thêm một số tính năng thao tác trên hình ảnh hỗ trợ soạn thảo những câu hỏi này. Trên cơ sở phần mềm nguồn mở AquRate - kết quả bước đầu của một dự án phát triển hệ thống trắc nghiệm theo chuẩn QTI 2 do Đại học Kingston, Vương quốc Anh thực hiện – chúng tôi bổ sung thêm các tính năng mới hỗ trợ tốt hơn cho soạn thảo các câu hỏi trắc nghiệm với thao tác trên hình ảnh.
