Abstract:
Nhan Mon Commune, Pac Nam District, Bac Kan Province, is a highland village. Before 1990, non-timber forest products here were very much diverse and abundant, namely rattan, cane and Aquilaria crassna Pierre. Nevertheless, along time of harvesting without paying attention to sustainable use has resulted in depletion of non-timber forest products run out, thus greatly affecting on the local’s live hoods. That is the reason why the research on solutions to restore source of non – timber forest products of high value is needed.
Our research finding show that the following plants for namely: Calamus tetradactylus Hance, Calamus platyacanthus, Aquilaria crassna Pierre and Amomum aromaticum Roxb.
Owing to the fact that the plants have just been grown, their growth, in terms of heights and diameters, can not be tested by using mathematical statistics.
