Abstract:
The Huong river is the source of supplying running and production water to the citizens of Hue city and the surroundings. Concurrently, it also receives city’s direct and indirect sources of wastewater with or without treatment. Besides, the Huong river plays aesthetically and economically important roles to Hue people... In recent years, the quality of the river water has been worsen and faced great challenges and changes. The Huong river water is always turbid and opaque. Some parameters are higher than those of the last year and exceed the Vietnam standard limits. At some points the water is frequently polluted. The process of national industrialization and modernization has increasingly effected the water resources.
