Abstract: Cu Lao Cham Island is composed mainly by strong compressed granite rock of Hai Van formation. It became an island because of locating on a tectonic uplifted block with the direction of NW-SE and the length of 75km. The system of faults and fractures has three main directions: NW-SE, NE-SW and nearly N-S that decisively impact on general direction of mountain ranges, coastal line and valleys. The remarkable morphological characteristic of Cu Lao Cham is the asymmetry showed by the very steep and narrow NE slope while the NS slope is wider and gentler. Although most of island area is general denude slope and fall down slope on granite rock, it’s mophor-substage is clearly with steps such as: < 10m; 10 - 20m; 20 - 30m; 40 - 60m; 80 - 120m; 180 - 220m and >350m. Most area of concave coast is marine original landforms, including marine terraces and beaches of different generation. There exists difference between sea bottom in NE (deeper than 30m near shore) and in SW (main depth under 20m). Cu Lao Cham Island has green vegetation with valuable and rare species; beautiful beaches with clean, fine sand and blue sea, various nice coral; special left stone blocks on the beaches; steep cliffs in East Island and caves- the houses of Yen birds. Those are valuable and special natural resources to develop ecological tourism for the island
