Abstract

The article deals with followings: - Principles and procedures of spatial organization for economic development, rational utilization of natural resources and environmental protection at provincial and district levels. - Role of natural and human resources in Lao Cai province for the spatial organization. - An oriented spatial organization of Lao Cai province consists of space for agriculture development; space for natural conservation and reserve; space for exploitation of natural minerals; space for urban and industrial area development; and space for environmental protection and management. A map of Lao Cai spatial organization has been established at the scale 1:100.000. The results of study may be an important data source for economic development planning in relation with rational utilization of natural resources and environmental protection in Lao Cai province.
