Abstract

Inflationary and scarcity conditions are an part intergal part of business environment today. These conditions may have negative impact on firm’s successes and present new challenges for making pricing decisions. In these conditions, the effectiveness of tradional methods of pricing techniques such as cost- oriented pricing will be reduced. Firms acting in these conditions must response to these changes if they want to be survival. In this articles, the author provides some methods, which are useful for firms to maintain its sale volum and profit in inflationary and scarcity conditions. They are: continuous monitoring of cost; examination of accouting procedures; absorption os rising costs; reducing costs; establishing price protection system; keeping closer relationship with ressellers and etc. Some special methods for pricing in international markets with different level of inflationary are also given.
