dc.description.abstract A detailed study of the intrinsic magnetic and anisotropic properties of the DyFe11Mo compound were reported. The compound showed a spin orientation phase transition at a temperature of 220K. The anomalies in physical properties such as saturation magnetization, ac susceptibility and hyperfine fields at the transition temperature were identified. vi
