In this paper, a preference level interactive method for solving multiobjective fuzzy programming problems has been proposed. The proposed method, named as PRELIM method, is applicable to symmetric fuzzy linear as well as a class of nonlinear programming problems. The method has three basic components: (i) interpretation of fuzziness, (ii) interactive style, and (iii) the use of a global optimization algorithm in obtaining the numerical solution of the resultant single-objective optimization problem in each iteration. The efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated on two test problems taken from literature.
