Abstract: The essential oil obtained by steam distillation of the fruit peels of cultivated Citrus japonica L. (Rutaceae) from Vietnamese origin was analyzed by a combination of capillary GC and GC/MS. More than 25 components were identified, accounting for almost 98% of the oil. Limonene (88.4%) was found to be the major constituent of the oil.
