Abstract: This paper presents a sliding mode controller for induction motor fed with three-level Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) nsing Sine Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) method. The controller has two loops: In the inner loop, the rotor flnx and the motor torque are controlled nsing sliding mode approach. In the onter loop, the rotor speed is adjusted by a PID controller. The simulation and the experimental results demonstrate the stability and the robustness of the proposed method. © 2009 IEEE.
