Abstract: The enhancement of the conductivity and control of the morphology of vapor phase polymerized PEDOT, in the presence of pyridine as a polymerization retardant, are discussed. A well-characterized PEDOT film, with high conductivity and a smooth surface, was fabricated by controlling the polymerization reaction kinetics. The improved PEDOT coating exhibited great potential for use in optoelectronic device applications.
