Abstract: Agent Orange herbicide sprays contaminated with dioxin 2,3,7,8-TCDD were sprayed over approximately 10% of the land area of south Vietnam, principally during the years 1965-1970. In order to study one aspect of the possible long term effects of TCDD exposure upon human health, comparative surveys were carried out on the population of Thanh Phuong village, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province, which had been repeatedly and heavily sprayed with herbicides; and commune #10 in the first district of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, never directly sprayed.
