Abstract

for Natural resources, Environment (TECOS) "Tourism capacity" is the ability of a tourist site to satisfy the tourism demand at an acceptable level of damage of its resources. This points out that there exists a concrete limit, if exceeded the environment will be badly influenced. Thus defining an appropriate number of tourists based on the natural capacity is really necessary, especially in national parks and natural reserves. In recent years, Bach Ma National Park has seen a considerable increase in the number of tourists. In order to explore its resources for tourism purpose effectively and scientifically, the geographical information system (GIS) has been applied. The result has calculated tourism capacity for each route in Bach Ma National Park, which will reduce the hardness of field works.
