AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE MODELS OF TOURISM PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT IN KOREA FOR APPLICATION TO TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN DA NANG CITY

Abstract

The study based on comparison and contrast of tourist destinations that have similarities in Da Nang City and Korea and then, draw out some achievements as well as experiences in Korean tourism planning and management in order to apply those into a practice in Da Nang City, Viet Nam. The results collected from Korea tourist destinations help to generalize some typical basic models as a form of tourist planning attached with the whole planning of the country. Tourism planning in Korea is a combination between traditional values based on modern science and technology. The tourism-planning model should meet the standards of being Green-Clean-Nice and civilized. Thanks to the study, some conclusions on tourism management including destination management, environment management, and urban management in Korea can be drawn. In addition, there are some recommendations for Korean tourism based on the results of the study.
